Granola usually lives in a bowl, maybe on yogurt if you’re feeling organized. Bread is a whole different breakfast option. I used to have to decide between the two, but no longer is that the case (where's our cape?) 🦸♀️
First of all, Maple Almond Granola Bread just sounded good. It sounded like something I would buy at Wegmans or a summer farmers market. So, I did what I've been doing a lot lately, throwing granola into things and crossing my fingers 🤞 And I continue to be surprised!
The use of a bread maker was really helpful. I got mine as a gift, and it's one of those kitchen tools I bring out a few times a season for a lovely fresh loaf of bread. The loaf bakes up soft, lightly sweet, and my whole apartment smelled amazing.
It’s gently sweet from the maple, a little nutty from the almonds, and soft enough to keep reaching for over a few days. Plus, now you don't have to pick between granola or toast for breakfast 😎
I’ve mostly been eating it toasted with peanut butter, rasperries and extra granola on top for crunch. But it’s also very good plain, standing in the kitchen while deciding what to do next.
To make in a bread machine: Put all the ingredients into the bread pan, except the granola. Program for basic white bread (or wheat bread if your machine has a whole wheat setting). Press start.
Follow your bread machine's instructions on when to add any add-ins. (Mine beeps at me and says "add-ins". At that point, add the entire bag of Maple Almond granola.
Enjoy with any toppings, like peanut butter, raspberries, and some extra granola on top for crunch!
